'One way colour tunnel', 2007
Olifur Eliasson's 'Tunnel' consists of triangular mirrors, that have been installed into a prism structure. The perspective of the colour changes as the viewer walks through it, creating a visual impact. The work evokes emotions and new sensations. It is an interactive piece, which requires the viewer to fully walk through it, before the work is complete. I find the colours extremely engaging due to the vibrancy. If this was to be displayed in Birley, it would become an attraction and would stand out. Adding a colourful piece would be noticed by students, staff and the public.
